Here I am again. This is the html version. I have played around a lot with Flash, and don't get me wrong, I like it. But there's good about going back to basics - even if I never get a place in the zen garden of CSS.
But there's no mistaking the pleasures of just throwing a site together. That has to count for something.
The site in the html format has all the same content; the difference is I might make it further into the google archives with this one. I have a lot of flash examples, for the basic flash user, or the beginner, through to intermediate levels and a couple of advanced examples. They help me as much as I hope they help other people. Sometimes when you've been working with java-script or php for a while and ignoring your flash-baby you find it easier to bring up an example or 2 online, to jog your memory back to action-script thinking; this is even more important when you've had to corrupt yourself with ASP.
Anyway, the games are here, Jac Man, Space Evaders, Magic Eight, Scopa and of course the zombie game, and there are loads of things to download. There are a few tutorials, but now of course its all a little hypocritical, since there is not much direct flash content in this version of the site.
I hope you enjoy what you find here, or that you find some useful things here to help you on your way. Of course, you can always email me, or send me a question from the contact page (bottom of this page), and I will try to get back to you promptly.
The image to the right here is from Experts Exchange - where I am an 'Expert'. Woo hoo! I actually haven't been on the site for many months (joined in February 2005 and stopped actively contributing near the end of April, from memory, so considering I managed to make it from nowhere to top ( for a while at least - I think I am still position 2 in terms of points earned) that proves either a lot of knowledge in Flash, or a lot of spare time and nothing constructive to fill it with. I am inclined to believe the latter. For a couple of months after that, I joined forums like FlashMove and ActionScript.org to contribute help, as well as a U.K. based one called FlashGroup, but I am not that active these days at those sites. Too busy working...
Still up for a bit of freelance work though, if you're interested.
Latest thing: I know there is a plethora of message boards about on the web these days, but if you're looking for something nice and simple, but that can accomodate threads and subthreads, I built a version, based on boardhost's. It does all the same stuff, but this version is free (or you can make a small donation). Hope it helps someone out. You can find the working example here and the download here. Good luck.
Make a donation here, if you want...:
